TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2025 Scammers are posing as court staff or police, claiming you missed jury duty. Hang up immediately. Real courts never demand money. Scammers may know your personal details, but don’t trust them. Never share information, pay for “warrants,” or buy prepaid cards or Bitcoin. To confirm your jury status, call your local court using a phone number you look up yourself.
All three Magistrate Judges are randomly assigned the following cases: civil pro se cases; civil prisoner cases; and social security appeals. For all other civil cases, together they randomly receive approximately three-fifths of the civil cases. Civil matters require the consent of all parties who have appeared in the case for the matter to proceed for all purposes before a magistrate judge.
