Coronavirus (COVID-19) Court Operations (1304)

The United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the District of Idaho as well as Probation and Pretrial announce operating with reduced staff.  For full details and pro se email filing links, please visit the COVID-19 Information section of this website. 


Anyone who is experiencing COVID like symptoms or who has tested positive for COVID within the last 14 days must report this to the Court Security Officers at the entrance to any courthouse. Masks are required of all visitors and must be worn at all times while in the courthouse, this includes in court. All staff are required to wear masks while in public spaces at the courthouse.

Pro Se Email Filing Links

Per General Order No. 390, effective 3/22/21 the District and Bankruptcy pro se email boxes will be deactivated and will no longer be monitored. The emails were set up for filing during COVID-19 restrictions while the courthouses in the District of Idaho were physically closed. The courthouses are now open, and the pro se email boxes are no longer needed. You will no longer be able to file through these boxes.

District Court Filings

NOTICE: Effective March 22, 2021 the District pro se email box will be deactivated and will no longer be monitored.  You will no longer be able to file new cases or documents through these boxes as of March 22, 2021. Our Intake hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 9:00  am to 4:00 pm.  If you have questions, please call the Boise office at (208) 334-1361; Coeur d'Alene office at (208) 665-6850; or Pocatello office at (208) 478-4123.

This email box was created for use during the COVID pandemic. It is monitored by court staff daily and documents are filed in a timely manner. 

Documents emailed to this box are not considered “filed” with the court until you have a case number or your documents have been docketed by court staff.
